In loving Memory Of Theodore "Ted" Andrew Kolson
Theodore "Ted" Andrew Kolson,82, of Punxsutawney, passed away peacefully
at home on November 15, 2022.
He was born in Punxsutawney on May 30, 1940, a son of the late Andrew Kolson
and Helen (Dubensky) Kolson.
Mr. Kolson was a United States Marine serving as a Lance Corporal in the 2nd
Recon Battalion and military police from 1958 until 1961.
On September 15, 1962, he married Sandra Rae Wood. They celebrated sixty
years of marriage.
Ted was a lifelong member of Saints Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church
and was a former member of the choir.
He worked for TW Phillips Gas Oil Company for forty two years. He was a skilled
backhoe operator and perfectionist in his work.
He was an avid deer hunter and looked forward to the hunting season each year.
He also enjoyed mowing and taking care of his home. In his downtime, he liked to
read and watch sports.He became a great cook after watching and learning from

In addition to his wife Sandra, he is survied by four children. Randall Kolson of
Export, Kevin Kolson and wife Sherri of Venice, Florida, Shari Gerlach and husband
Greg of Pittsburgh, and Todd Kolson and wife Nicole of Mars; seven grandchildren:

In addition to his wife Sandra, he is survied by four children. Randall Kolson of

Kennedy Kolson and Kaden Kolson; one great grandchild, Crew. One brother,
Thomas Kolson and wife Janet of Darlington; three sisters, Madelyn "Mickey"
Mesoraco and husband Patsi of Delancey, Joan Kriser and husband Ron of
Delancey and Jean Koromaus and husband Ted of Hollidaysburg; numerous
nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Evelyn Kopas.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022
